Guangzhou Guide
Guangzhou – previously known as Canton – is one of the largest and most exciting cities in southern China. Offering visitors the chance to explore the unique culture of this bewildering country without the sheen applied in Beijing or Shanghai, Guangzhou has roots in traditional Chinese culture that are often lost in other places. Still intimately tied to the sea, many parts of the surrounding area are still fishing communities where life goes on unchanged as it did a century ago, while in the city itself, you can shop in the glamorous department stores you can see anywhere else!
